Pet Licence Application

Please fill and submit the form below if this is a NEW pet licence application.

NOTE: Renewals of existing licences cannot be done on this website. You will receive a renewal letter from the Town of Olds. Follow the instructions in that document.

Please note: your pet is NOT considered registered until you have received your animal tag. Animal tags will not be sent until payment is received. 

Payment can be made in the following manners:

  • Online personal banking. Select Town Olds (AR) as payee and use your Customer ID number. If you do not know your Customer ID, call the Town Office at 403-556-6981.
  • Payments can also be made by cheque, cash or credit card at the administration office.
  • An invoice will NOT be sent.

Current Rates (2025)

  • Dog Licence (intact male/female) - $35
  • Dog Licence (neutered male/spayed female) - $25
  • Cat Licence (intact male/female) - $35
  • Cat Licence (neutered male/spayed female) - $25

*You will need to fill and submit a separate application for each pet you have.

*Your name and phone number posted in the Online Animal Search helps facilitate connecting you with your lost pet.

*The tag number of a lost pet can be entered in the Town’s Online Animal Search to retrieve the name and phone number of the owner. Pet owner contact information is only available if the pet tag number is entered into the system.

*Fines and impoundment fees will be charged if your pet is found and there is no Town license and tag. Call the Town Office for payment.

Declaration of Agreement & Consent:

I consent to the public listing on the Virtual City Hall on the Town of Olds website (www.olds.ca) of my name, contact information and dog or cat information as provided to the Town for animal licensing.

I certify that the information I have given is true and correct and agree to abide by all and any applicable Bylaws, Rules and Regulations that are now or hereafter may be in force. I understand that failure to comply with the Town Bylaws could result in fines or other remedial action.
